On March 30th, CineConcerts presented Rudy in Concert at Microsoft Theater. Sean Astin, Rudy Ruettiger, director David Anspaugh, and many more attended the show and took part in a special pre-show panel.
The CineConcerts Foundation invited The Harmony Project to attend the show. 18 students and parents from the conducting academy program watched rehearsal and had a Q & A session with Justin Freer. The foundation seeks to connect people around the world with opportunities to experience music and media in a live concert setting.
The Harmony Project is Los Angeles' largest music education non-profit, dedicated exclusively to youth from underrepresented communities. They provide comprehensive, tuition-free music education, and social support to youth across southern California.
Actor Sean Astin recalls the first time he heard the score to the film Rudy.
Sean Astin discusses the difference between recorded media immediately available through technology and the impact of a live concert experience.
